_**
Thinking of having something hot, spicy yet healthy and non-fried item.. Then veg aloo patty is the best option which could be made in a couple of minutes if you have the store bought pastry sheets..I am presenting to you the easy ,quick recipe to enjoy on rainy days without having the guilt of having oil.
Ingredients:
1. Boiled and mashed potatoes – 2 cups.
2. green chillies chopped -2
3. onions chopped – 1⁄2 cup
4. peas – 1⁄4 cup or according to your taste
5. carrots grated -1⁄2 cup
6. corn-1⁄4 cup
7. cream cheese – 2 Tbsp
8. salt to taste
9. black pepper to taste
10. red chilli powder to taste
11. coriander powder -1 tsp
12. pastry sheets
13. oil – 2 Tbsp
14. turmeric – 1⁄2 tsp.
Method:
1. Preheat the oven at 425 degree F.
- Meanwhile take a wok or a pan and add oil in it.Heat it.
- Now add onions,green chillies,peas and corn.
4. Saute them and add salt. Add all the other spices except cream cheese.
5. On medium heat saute them till they are cooked.
- Once all the vegetables are cooked and their water has dried then add cream cheese.
Mix it well until it gets even colour.
Take the filling off the stove and let it cool down to room temperature.
Take the pastry sheet.Roll it little to make the desired shape.
I rolled it in oblong shape and then cut out 4 pieces out of each to make a square.
Place 2 Tbsp filling on each and close the ends.
Similarly fill each of the squares and seal them by pressing slightly with your hands or applying water on the sides.
Now take an oven safe tray and place the patties all in a row on the tray.
Keep the tray safely on middle rack of the oven at 425 degree F. Let them bake for 12-15 mins or until brown.
After 20 mins I took them out and serve with green chutney or tomato ketchup or salsa and enjoy.
